Starting March 2017, the Japanese and Chinese foodies in Dubai will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to enhance their culinary skills and explore new techniques when taking part to the newly launched ‘Discover the Art of Japanese & Chinese Cuisines’ monthly cooking class at Shiba restaurant, The Meydan Hotel.

The Chinese specialty chef and the Japanese specialty chef will introduce each, two of their innovative signature dishes featuring sushi, sashimi and dim sums, to the culinary apprentices during Shiba two-hour class.

 

Japanese Chef Masakazu Mikuriya and Chinese Chef Bing Xia are famous for their innovative culinary creations, offering more than three decades of international experience to the Japanese and Chinese food enthusiasts in Dubai.

 

The two-hour cooking class ‘Discover the Art of Japanese & Chinese Cuisines’ is available on the last Wednesday of every month and includes hands-on cooking with a chef; a branded apron; one mocktail or one glass of house wine and printed takeaway recipes.

About the chefs:

Chef Bing Xia is the Chinese Specialty Chef at ‘Shiba’ restaurant, where he joined the culinary team of The Meydan Hotel in the year 2015 with more than 10 years’ of Chinese cuisine’ experience in China and the United Arab of Emirates. Chef Bing Xia is famous for his creative authentic signature dishes, where he plays with the flavours to enhance the culinary experience of the Chinese food enthusiasts coming for a memorable culinary experience at the Chinese & Japanese restaurant ‘Shiba’.

 

Chef Masakazu Mikuriya is the Japanese Specialty Chef at ‘Shiba’ restaurant. He joined the culinary team of The Meydan Hotel in the year 2015 with more than 25 years’ of Japanese cuisine’ experience in Japan and the United Arab of Emirates. Chef Masakazu Mikuriya is known for introducing innovative culinary creations at ‘Shiba’ restaurant to the Japanese foodies in the emirate, who are seeking to enjoy a truly sophisticated Japanese culinary experience in the heart of Dubai.
