Taking place at the Mall of The Emirates, South Galleria on October 1st, Paul Smith presented two exciting shows, one for press and one for the public to showcase Paul Smith’s new suit line. Bringing new meaning to the travel suit, a troop of artists landed in Dubai from London’s National Centre for Circus Arts (NCCA) after touring and preforming in 6 other cities around the world, to demonstrate the dynamic qualities of Paul Smith’s ‘A Suit To Travel In’ collection in a series of jaw-dropping performances.
The press were invited to the Paul Smith boutique to meet Mrs. Lydia Pointner, the brand’s Marketing representative from the UK whom presented the collection with detailed explanations on how the ‘A Suit To Travel In’ is constructed. The features it entails are quick recover, crease-resistant, water-repellent qualities. It is also created as a contemporary silhouette which compliments all the features of a versatile and highly-practical tailoring piece, making it a distinguished example of brand’s sophisticated but functional approach to suiting. The media, socialites and influencers then were asked to head to the South Galleria at The Mall of The Emirates to be the first in the UAE to witness the one of a kind spectacular acrobatic show where each acrobat wore “A Suit To Travel In” suit. Handstands, backflips and forward rolls were no problem for the performers, thanks to the incredible flexibility of the innovative new suit. The high energy of the remarkable performance saw the mall brimming with the who’s who of the city. The attendees were enthralled with the awe-inspiring shows where gift bags were handed to the media on their way out.
Paul Smith has been designing suits for 40 years and this experience has allowed the brand to develop a fit that blends the signature slim silhouette with a feeling of effortless comfort.
