Shaikh Ahmad honours a number of bodies and individuals who supported Small and Medium Enterprises

Dubai: Twenty-four winners in the Mohammad Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders were honoured by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
During the ceremony held at Dubai World Trade Centre yesterday on Monday, Shaikh Ahmad honoured a number of bodies and individuals who supported Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and people with various achievements in the field of business.
A total of 450 projects from 13 Arab countries were submitted as entries in the ninth edition of the award.
Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, said that the Dubai government seeks to enhance the role of youth in the SME sector and motivate them to accomplish achievements in various economic fields.
Al Janahi thanked government authorities, federal and local departments, as well as financial institutions and major corporations from the private sector for their support. He said that such support ensures the award’s success and helps it fulfil its role in boosting national development by driving the growth of SMEs.
He stressed that the award is a clear message from the Dubai government and wise leadership that they support youths and their efforts.
