Dolce&Gabbana participates at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition from February 24^th to 29^th 2020.

Situated in the Ali Bin Ali Luxury booth, Dolce&Gabbana exhibits the Alta Gioielleria and Alta Orologeria Collections. Scrupulous choice of materials, preciousness of manufacturing and luxurious uniqueness: these creations of exclusive beauty reflect the brand’s values of craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Together with the Alta Gioielleria and Alta Orologeria Collections, Dolce&Gabbana will present the Men’s and Women’s Fine Jewellery Collections, the Manifattura Italiana Watch Collection with its exclusive proprietary calibre DG 01.01, and the precious Invisible Setting Watch models, with exceptional case of diamonds arranged without the use of visible settings or claws.

The Sofia family of watches welcomes two new elegant models that stand out for their femininity and refinement. Once again Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana combine their creativity with the manufacturing excellence of Swiss haute horlogerie, whose performance and quality are guaranteed by the best master watchmakers.
The Sofia with a pure silk leopard strap features a steel case with a sapphire crystal, mother-of-pearl dial with logo placed at six o’clock, and a bezel characterised by a romantic circle of colourless diamonds. The quality of the strap is enhanced by a special waterproof treatment that protects it from eventual damage.
The Sofia with a black alligator strap, an extremely refined model, has a pink gold case with sapphire crystal, a black enamelled dial with a pink gold logo at six o’clock, and a bezel that sparkles uniquely with ninety one colourless diamonds.
The cases are stepped, and the pattern extends symmetrically to the sapphire crystal. The perfection of the design has been achieved by working the surfaces according to a traditional gem cutting technique. The resulting reflections transform Sofia into more than just a watch, but a gorgeous and entirely original jewel.
The octagonal crowns of both models, inset with a rose-cut diamond, complete the compositions, which not only epitomize watchmaking precision and the finest goldsmithing tradition, but stand as unique and timeless icons of style.
SOFIA

Dolce&Gabbana continues to focus on handmade and presents Manifattura Italiana, an exclusive collection of watches that reflects the Designers’ love for the human touch and Italy, two elements at the core of the brand’s DNA.
The art of engraving, inlaying and cutting gemstones undertaken by the finest craftsmen in Italy, make these creations a unique, collectible masterpiece. The inspiration for the six models of the Manifattura Italiana line and their variants comes from Italian cities and their historical and architectural features: the energy of Milan, the beauty of Rome, the charm of Venice, the history of Palermo, the goldsmith tradition of Florence and the passion of Naples.
But while the creativity in the decoration of cases, dials and bracelets is wholly Italian, the engineering accuracy and precision of the mechanism are Swiss. With Manifattura Italiana, Dolce&Gabbana presents DG 01.01, its own exclusive movement entirely assembled by hand by the master watchmakers of Geneva. A further complication has been applied to the mechanical DG 01.02 movement which, with a special device for multiplying the hours wheel, allows a division of the dial into 24 hours. This complication bears a historical reference to the so-called hora italica, a method of calculating time that divided the day into 24 hours of the same duration, starting from sunset, which was considered the twenty-fourth hour. This system spread in the fourteenth century and can still be admired today in the mechanical clock preserved in the counter-façade of the Duomo of Florence and in the Clock Tower in Piazza San Marco in Venice.
From these facts, the two models featuring the DG01.02 movement were named Florence and Venice. The watches come in a numbered limited edition of 10 specimen per variation of model.

Invisible setting
The new Invisible Setting model is also characterized by the DG 01.01 movement. The engineering accuracy and precision of the mechanism is flanked by the precious nature of more than 400 diamonds of excellent quality that adorn the case, dial, crown and deployant clasp. The skill required to implement the invisible setting, which manages to arrange the gemstones without the use of visible settings or claws, makes this watch a unique masterpiece to collect.

A rainbow is all the colours of the spectrum, a symphony of light

Each piece is an unforgettable example of attention to detail, craftsmanship, love of beauty, and luminous colour harmonies, representing an exciting new chapter in the Dolce&Gabbana Fine Jewellery Collection.
Sapphire, quartz, topaz, diamond, amethyst, jade, rhodolite, tourmaline and peridot testify to Dolce&Gabbana’s love of precious stones and materials. The variety of tones and shades set into the jewels and watches includes red, violet, yellow, orange, cherry, aqua green, dark blue, and purple – an authentic explosion of colour and sparkle.
Wearing a veritable rainbow of gemstones of the most varied shapes and cuts is no longer just a fantasy. The collection features delicate jewels in 18k yellow gold in the form of wedding bands with circular Bourbonic patterns, soft and rigid bracelets, hoop earrings of different sizes, and necklaces with teardrop pearls at the end of the chain.
Precious and rare, the new jeweled watch, with a strap that becomes a bracelet studded with stones of different shapes and colours, exudes a shimmering energy. Completing the collection are twelve new DG7 Gem watches, in which the gorgeous natural gemstones, inserted into the case with Dolce&Gabbana’s patented setting system, are combined with a crocodile strap that echoes the colours of the gems.
