A few months after the launch of TRIVIA across social media, which used images, anecdotes and quizzes to share important steps in Salvatore Ferragamo’s life with the public, we are ready to unveil another digital initiative that explores each and every lesser known moment of his incredible story in a podcast.

The autobiography of the famous Shoemaker of Dreams, which he dictated in the late 1950s and was transcribed into a book, is now retold in a podcast available on Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple iTunes.

Friends of the brand, Italian actors and stars from Hollywood - where it all began - along with influencers, opinion leaders and writers and journalists of international renown enthusiastically accepted the invitation to read a chapter of the book, drawing on their talent to emerge listeners in the life story that has become a legend.

And it can be a multi-sensorial experience, with a book to be read, a podcast to be heard and soon a film to be seen on the silver screen.

The Shoemaker of Dreams project is complete with Electa’s republication of his autobiography, featuring a new cover, and the upcoming release of the feature film Salvatore - The Shoemaker of Dreams directed by Luca Guadagnino and premiering at the Venice Film Festival.

“To all those who must walk” is the dedication that the brand’s founder made in the first few pages of his book, a testament to an enduring dream very much alive today.
