Etihad Airways has signed a partnership agreement with AccesRail

Etihad Airways has announced the expansion of its partnership with AccesRail, the world’s leading provider of air-rail intermodal solutions.

The partnership allows Etihad to use AccesRail's expertise to enable its customers to book train and coach tickets in Europe in conjunction with their air fare using the airline’s online booking platform, or through their travel agency, the airline said in a statement on Tuesday.

Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates will operate repatriation flights to Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram from August 20 until August 31. The special flights will facilitate travel for Indian citizens in the UAE wishing to return home, and for residents of UAE currently in India to return to the UAE.

The Russian government sent five planes of medical equipment and a team of doctors to set up a field hospital in Beirut to help the city in the aftermath caused by Tuesday's explosion, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said Wednesday.

The ministry also sent a team trained for search and rescue operations and a mobile laboratory to identify cases of COVID-19, the TASS news agency reported.

A large blast in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has killed at least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others, the health minister says.

Videos show smoke billowing from a fire, then a mushroom cloud following the blast at the city's port.

The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, has launched 33 applications to share Eid greetings and cash gifts (Eidiya) remotely, as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19.
