One of the brightest highlights in the cultural life of Dubai is the much-awaited Dubai Fashion Week which was held this year from 24th to 28th October 2010. Showcased at this landmark event were stunning collections of clothes and accessories by renowned as well as new and upcoming designers which displayed extraordinary vision and talent.

Now in its 8th season, DFW welcomed a total of 40 designers delighting attendees with their creations. This year, well known designers such as Manish Malhotra, Furne One and ‘Neon Edge”s Mona Fares presented their SS 2011 collections.

Debuting at DFW were also local talents of Abeer Al Suwaidi of “USH Boutique”, Sara Al Madani & Apple Wang of “Rouge Couture”, and Lamya Abedin of “Queen of Spades”. Designers returning to the catwalk include Aartivijay Gupta, Shrehkanth, Amber Feroz, and Homa Qamar to name a few.
