Sheikh Nahyan attends launch of new season of Abu Dhabi Classics at Emirates Palace
WAM -- Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, attended the launch of a new season of Abu Dhabi Classics at Emirates Palace on Thursday night.
Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, ambassadors and hundreds of classical music enthusiasts attended the night.
The opening of the season celebrated the works of the 19th century German master Richard Wagner, including his classic operas Tristan und Isolde and Lohengrin.
The theme of this year’s Abu Dhabi Classics programme which continues to May 2017 is 'One Thousand and One Nights'.
