Free parking and adjusted public transport timings for Al Hijri New Year

The National -- Parking will be free across Dubai except in multilevel parking zones on Thursday to mark Al Hijri New Year.

Fees will be restored on Saturday, September 23, according to the Roads and Transport Authority.

The RTA also released adjusted operating hours for all public transport for the duration of the holiday.

On Thursday, the Dubai Metro Red Line stations will operate from 5.30am to 1am the following day.

Green Line stations will run from 5.50am to 1am.

The Express Metro service will be available throughout the holiday. The Dubai tram will be in service from 6.30am to 1am the following day.

Main bus stations such as Gold Souk will open from 5am to 1am. Al Ghubaiba Station will be in service from 5am to 12.10am.

Services at sub-stations such as Satwa will start from 5am and end at 11.35pm except for Route C01, which operates, round-the-clock.

Al Qusais Station will run from 4.30am to midnight; Al Quoz Industrial Station will be in operation from 5am to 11.30pm, while Jebel Ali Station will start business from 5am and continue until midnight.
