True. As we are in the Year of the Dragon, Sarcar has created a very exclusive line, one with just nine pieces in its jewellery piece which was sold out on the first day of Baselworld 2012, one with a gold studded dragon against an enamel background, one with jade and one with the dragon on the bezel.

The Chinese market is definitely very important today in the world. We have two mono boutiques in
How are your Russian customers?
Russians have very good taste and they always seek the exceptional in everything. They also appreciate the detail and the technology that goes into the making of unique watches.
Please tell us more about Sarcar.
It was founded sixty years ago by an Italian watchmaker Giancarlo Sarcar whose wife is the current owner of the company. Its founder’s motto is ‘Large enough to be strong, small enough to be free.’ Sarcar watches stand out for their creative audacity and passion for beauty.
Its reputation for excellence has been forged by the artistic ability of its craftsmen, designers and the meticulous approach of the watchmakers using a wealth of knowledge from the past as well as the latest nano technology. Its new North Star collection was two years in development. Employing the latest techniques in “invisible setting”, its 18k gold frame is entirely covered in a shimmer of diamonds with a princess cut diamond of 2.15 carats, one of the largest ‘rotating’ diamonds ever seen in a watch. So Sarcar pushes the limits and continually evolves. Its watches are made only in gold not stainless steel, use highest quality diamonds and are not mass produced, often featuring micro painting and enamel work. So they are a beautiful mix of beautiful knowledge.
How do you see the future?
Today people have huge knowledge about watches and are very aware of what technology and materials are used and how good an investment it is. They do not buy for buying. And I’m happy to see this evolution.
Sarcar uses a lot of diamonds why?
There’s a reason why diamonds are a girl’s best friends, they are the oldest, hardest stones, and a white diamond with no inclusions has high purity and brilliance. However, Sarcar watches are much more than just diamonds as they also enshrine great technology, so people selecting it are buying true pieces of art.
