Dubai is a city of dreamers, risk-takers, and innovators and few embody that spirit more fully than Sakshi Nath. A science graduate with a Master’s in Fashion Design, Sakshi has seamlessly transitioned between industries to build iconic brands in both fine dining and beauty. From co-founding African Fish in Lagos in 2000 with her husband Bhupender Nath, to launching Trèsind – a revolutionary Indian fine-dining concept that’s now home to the three-Michelin-starred Trèsind Studio – Sakshi’s story is one of bold vision and thoughtful execution.

Today, she continues to redefine experiences through Queens Beauty Lounge, a premium grooming destination rooted in empowerment, elegance, and accessibility. We sat down with Sakshi Nath to talk about her dual passion for innovation and heritage, the evolution of her brands, and the latest bespoke offerings from Queens.

Sakshi, your journey spans food, fashion, and now beauty. What has driven you to explore such diverse industries?

I’ve always believed that creativity doesn’t belong to one category. Whether it’s designing a dish or curating a wellness experience, my goal has always been to create something that connects with people emotionally and elevates their everyday lives.

With Trèsind, we wanted to challenge the global perception of Indian cuisine. With Queens Beauty Lounge, it’s about redefining self-care in a way that feels personal, accessible, and indulgent.

Shifting to beauty – Queens Beauty Lounge has become a go-to for luxury grooming. What inspired this venture?

The idea came from a very personal space. I wanted to create a place where women could feel truly taken care of – where self-care isn’t rushed or transactional, but ritualistic and rejuvenating. At Queens, we design every treatment to be more than just a beauty service, it’s a ritual. These summer offerings are about giving women a moment to feel grounded, refreshed, and radiant in their own skin.

Tell us more about the new seasonal treatments at Queens. How are they tailored to life in Dubai?

Dubai’s heat and fast-paced lifestyle take a toll on both body and skin, so we curated three rituals to counter that: the Summer Skin Reset facial, Royal Hot Oil Hair Treatment, and the Summer Slim & Soothe Massage series. Each therapy draws from natural elements and science-led tools to create something restorative, elegant and genuinely effective. We’ve combined ingredients like amla and rosehip oil with advanced technology like LED therapy and Hydra Cool devices to offer results-driven treatments that also feel incredibly indulgent.

Your ventures consistently blend tradition with modernity. How do you maintain that balance across industries?

That’s something I hold very close to my heart – honoring where we come from while staying relevant to where we’re going. Whether it’s using Ayurvedic oils in a contemporary salon setting or deconstructing a traditional Indian dish with molecular gastronomy, it’s about respecting roots while exploring new expressions.

Finally, what’s next for you and your brands?

Growth with purpose. We’re always exploring new ideas, but what matters most is impact – how we make people feel, how we improve their experience of beauty, and self. There’s always room to innovate, as long as we stay authentic to our vision.

With a growing list of accolades and a reputation for excellence across multiple industries, Sakshi Nath continues to push boundaries while staying grounded in purpose. Her journey is not just entrepreneurial but rather inspirational, setting a new benchmark for what it means to lead with both heart and innovation in Dubai’s dynamic business scene.
