Al Maryah Island Celebrates Chinese New Year
A world of thrilling attractions awaited visitors over the weekend, as Abu Dhabi’s business and lifestyle destination hosted its renowned Chinese New Year celebrations, welcoming the Abu Dhabi community for the seventh consecutive year. The two-day event attracted over 26,000 visitors.
Families were treated to authentic Chinese workshops and keepsakes including New Year-themed hand fans, lanterns, face painting, Chinese calligraphy and much more. A program of live shows including the highly popular Height Stunt Lion Dance, Monkey King Martial Arts, Chinese Acrobats, and Chinese Drummers was open to the public for an unforgettable experience. A variation of outlets offered the visitors a chance to indulge in Chinese food, as well as Asian-fusion dishes such as Beijing Duck Wraps, Xinjiang Meat Skewers, Chongqing Noodles, Sichuan Spicy Wantons and Hong Kong Dim Sum among others.
Al Maryah Island’s Chinese New Year celebrations concluded the evening in a spectacular fireworks display.
