ART DUBAI AND DELFINA FOUNDATION REVEAL DETAILS OF ‘THE WEDDING PROJECT’
The new site-specific, immersive project and café space features performances and an eleven-course menu created entirely by artists, taking place during the tenth edition of Art Dubai, March 16-19 2016
Art Dubai and Delfina Foundation revealed details today of The Wedding Project, a new performative project that will playfully transform two rooms at Madinat Jumeirah into an artist-created wedding hall for the tenth edition of Art Dubai, March 16-19 2016. The experience is open to all, throughout the fair, and also features a series of eleven-course gala dinners. The project is supported by Absolut Elyx and ROI.
Curated by Delfina Foundation Director Aaron Cezar as the latest iteration of the popular ‘Politics of Food’ series, The Wedding Project combines novel drinks and food dishes, commissions and interventions by artists including Sunoj D, Larissa Sansour, Candice Lin, Manal Al Dowayan, Taus Makhacheva, Nile Sunset Annex, Hind Mezaina and the Centre for Genomic Gastronomy.

Art Dubai and The Culture Office announced today the fourth iteration of the Sheikha Manal Little Artists Program – the fair’s educational program that encourages UAE-based children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 to excel in and become involved with the arts.
RCA SECRET DUBAI RETURNS FOR ART WEEK 2016
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase original artwork by local and internationally-acclaimed artists at Alserkal Avenue and Art Dubai
Back by popular demand, RCA Secret Dubai – Dubai’s edition of the Royal College of Art’s anonymous art exhibition and sale – returns to Art Dubai this year and is held in partnership with Alserkal Avenue. For the first time, the sale will take place across two key locations during Art Week.
The 2016 RCA Secret Dubai will feature 1,000 original post-card size artworks displayed for sale at Alserkal Avenue (March 14-19) and Art Dubai (March 17-19). The anonymous collection is created and donated by regionally and internationally acclaimed artists and designers, plus alumni from the Royal College of Art in London. All proceeds support the university’s scholarship fund to support art students at a formative time in their careers.
