In Dubai, its stores are located at Galleries Lafayette at  The Dubai Mall, Wafi City and BurJuman. Recently, Aviamost was able to meet and chat up with the maestro on his visit to Dubai

Mr. Baldinini, how do you create such beauty?

Human hands! In the place where my grandfather advised me, drew the first forms and set up the family’s first workshop way back in 1910, I decided to set up the brand’s modern factory where our production unit employs over 250 highly skilled workers. Our shoes are crafted entirely by hand using time-tested techniques blended with creative expertise inspired by world culture.

What sets apart Baldinini from the other brands?

Consistent research, an eye for detail and ergonomic sculpting sets our creations apart,   boasting Italian craftsmanship of the finest order. We have also slowly expanded to other fashion accessories.

Where do you get your inspiration?

My style is a tribute to women’s beauty. I enjoy turning materials into emotions... but it took a hundred years. Baldinini shoes are highly original, blend superior variety of materials and stylish good looks. Though we are constantly in touch with fashion trends and the demands of our fans, we never ignore provocation. This is what makes Baldinini irresistible to its fans.

Tell us about your Fall / Winter 2012 – 13 collection.

Ankle to knee-length boots, glamorous heels and daring stilettos dipped in a delicious palette of hues ranging from sophisticated neutral and black tones, with gold detailing, along with other colour accents, principally red, and violet hues make this season’s  collection one of the most covetable ones for fashion conscious women. Detailing includes strap work and delicate hardware accented by our signature style of effortless glamour.

Tell us about your decision to enter Middle East market, especially Dubai?

Baldinini is popular in the Middle East and Dubai is a very important and prestigious market which we entered 10 years ago.
