Henny Schaeffer brings a wealth of experience to this position with a career spanning close to 23 years. As a graduate of the Hotel Management University Maastricht in the Netherlands, Henny has lived around the world in countries such as Aruba, Egypt, Holland, Germany and the United States and held executive positions within leading hotel companies around the globe.

With experience in hotel openings, condo hotels and residential management, Henny has played a major role in shaping the futures of key luxury hotel brands. His previous positions within Sonesta saw several achievements in business performance, environmental and community relations, including natural disaster relief campaigns for beleaguered countries oversees.

As the general manager of Fairmont Ajman, he is responsible for the opening and performance of the hotel, establishing a foothold for the Fairmont brand in the smallest of the country’s emirates.

Located in the emirate of perennial sunshine and stunning white sand beaches is the Fairmont Ajman, the newest Fairmont flagship in the United Arab Emirates. Just 30 minutes away from the bustling metropolis of Dubai known for its sightseeing, shopping and entrainment, Ajman offers a delightful contrast by inviting guests to take a gentler pace across a stretch of shoreline called the Corniche, enjoy a refreshing swim in opal hued and clear waters, and to soak in genuine Arabian traditions and hospitality.

Modern décor combined with contemporary touches, including dark wood paneling, cool marble flooring, soft leather headboards and symmetrical design elements can be found throughout the resort’s 252 guestrooms and suites.

DINING

Bringing a portfolio of world class restaurants and innovative culinary concepts as found in major cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Fairmont Ajman presents a true upscale epicurean experience to the emirate. No longer will guests have to travel to neighbouring cities for some of the best dining in the region, as the resort offers eight restaurants and lounges, many with outdoor al fresco seating overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

XOLO Bar

The cocktail and cigar lounge delivers the most progressive, innovative cocktails available in the UAE by using locally sourced ingredients mixed with classic techniques. Offering a cigar room with a walk-in humidor, aficionados and novices alike can select their very own private cigar drawer stock with their personal selections.

Located in Spectrum as a quaint ‘restaurant within a restaurant’, this dynamic dining option is available for all-day dining and offers an Italian themed menu where the traditional pizza oven and open kitchen is the focal point of the experience.

Salt & Sea

A casual and uncomplicated alternative to our indoor restaurants and lounges, the Poolside Bar features an outdoor themed menu with vibrant salads and healthy Lifestyle Cuisine options available.

Spectrum

Named after the hugely successful restaurant operation (Spectrum on One) at the Fairmont Dubai, this newest Ajman entrant follows in its illustrious footsteps by offering international cuisine with open and interactive kitchens and serving stations, providing theatre and a lively restaurant ambience throughout.

SPA

Inviting guests to experience a holistic approach towards health, wellness and rejuvenation, the soon to open Spa at the Fairmont Ajman will feature a signature line of treatments, including a Turkish hammam experience, based on time honoured practices and traditions. The purpose built spa facility will also includes designated ladies and men’s treatment rooms, eight in total, an opulent Jacuzzi area, steam and sauna rooms, invigorating ice shower and a renowned product range. There will also be a dedicated barber shop, providing old fashion shaves and men’s grooming services, in addition to a ladies’ salon, complements the range of leisure offerings at the resort.

Fitness facilities

Adjacent to the soon to open Spa is a state-of-the-art Health Club offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, the latest Technogym equipment and a team of fitness attendants.

Dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle, our colleagues invite you to ask questions, try new exercises and experience all that our fitness facility has to offer.

The Health Club is open 24 hours. Fitness attendants are available to assist from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
