Hazza bin Zayed launches Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority talent development programme

WAM -- H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has launched the talent development programme of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, in co-operation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council.

The programme aims to explore emerging talent and develop their artistic skills while attracting a number of distinguished artists worldwide, with the support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

"The launch of this initiative is in line with Abu Dhabi's efforts to discover talented people, enrich its resources and unleash their potential to contribute to cultural and artistic production while giving young people the opportunity to develop their skills, which will positively contribute to the civilised image of Abu Dhabi and the UAE," Sheikh Hazza said.

"Art plays an essential role in promoting young people and enhancing their personalities, and for them to contribute more effectively to the UAE’s integrated development process, making the arts an integral part of the education process to further enhance opportunities for students and youth, and to contribute to achieving the desired goals of culture and education as essential components of student development, and preparing for the future, " he added, during his meeting with a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and the Abu Dhabi Education Council.

The programme aims to provide a platform to support artistically talented students and develop their talents to enhance their skills, through collaborative agreements with a variety of prestigious local and international institutions. The programme also includes the training of specialists and teachers from the Abu Dhabi Education Council by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.

Commenting on the launch of the initiative, Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, said, "The talent development programme is part of our efforts to develop and interact with young talents, in order to enhance the artistic and cultural landscape of Abu Dhabi."
