Mohammed receives Lukoil President

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Vagit Alekperov, President of the Russian oil company Lukoil.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Vagit Alekperov, President of the Russian oil company Lukoil, which takes Dubai as a base for its overseas operations.
 
During the meeting, also attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed and Alekperov reviewed the company's current activities in the Middle East, North Africa and East Europe and the progress of its Dubai-based Lukoil Overseas, which was established in 2004 and expanded in 2012 to become the company's international headquarters with 1,000 employees.
 
Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE and Dubai in particular welcome all Arab and global investments, while providing all government and logistical facilities to investors and businesses.
 
Alekperov said he was pleased with the major expansion of the company in 2012 which paved the way for its regional and international growth, making use of the excellent facilities offered to all international companies in the UAE.
 
Others in attendance were Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department and Malik Al Malik, CEO of Tecom Business Parks.
