Ruler of Dubai's daughter to marry member of Abu Dhabi's Al Nahyan family

Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is to marry Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, according to posts on royal social media accounts.

Royal family members posted congratulatory messages on Instagram following the news of the engagement on August 24.

Sheikha Maryam shared a photo with the message: “Congratulations to my sister @maryam_mr_al_maktoum on her engagement”.

Sheikha Maryam’s elder sister, Sheikha Latifa Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, posted a picture of the two, writing: “May the rest of your lives be filled with love, joy & happiness. Congratulations!”

A number of other royal family members also posted on Instagram to celebrate the news.

It is not yet known when the ceremony will take place.
