The city of Dubai witnessed the fourth edition of The EMIGALA Fashion & Beauty Awards, an edition that was dedicated to the fashion icon Michael Jackson, honoring personalities, entities and luxurious brands within the fashion and beauty industries, both regionally and globally, in collaboration with 7 production and Dubai Festival City Mall.
This year’s festival took place over two consecutive days, 27th & 28th April at Festival Bay within Dubai Festival City Mall, one of the major shopping destinations in Dubai, and the super-regional flagship mall in the Al-Futtaim Real Estate portfolio.
The first day witnessed the launch of this year’s edition with the opening ceremony and panel discussion which featured all of the EMIGALA 2024 honorees who came together to discuss fashion, beauty, achievements, moderated by the TV host Bilal Alarabi. This was followed by an exclusive opening party hosted at Vista, in collaboration with Intercontinental Dubai Festival City and IHG Hotels & Resorts.
On the second day, the red carpet and awards ceremony were broadcasted live on 7 regional TV channels from 6PM onwards, hosted by journalist Asmaa Ibraheem and image consultant Mayssa Assaf, and had a one-of-its-kind partnership with the leading social media platform X.
The awards ceremony began at 8:30 PM, with an opening speech delivered by the founder and president of BIAF, DIAFA & The EMIGALA Dr. Michel Daher, during which he launched this year’s awards ceremony, dedicated to one of the world’s biggest fashion icons, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Dr. Michel also stressed on the importance of The EMIGALA as a global platform to recognize talents and achievers in the world of fashion and beauty, as well as a crucial meeting point for various nationalities and cultures joined in these fields.
And for the second year in a row, The EMIGALA, presented by Shine Entertainment, has collaborated with Dubai Festival City Mall as the main sponsor of the festival, commenting on the partnership, Simon Van De Velde, Chief Asset Management Officer, Al-Futtaim Real Estate said “It is with great honor that Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Bay once again host the EMIGALA Awards, this collaboration is a significant milestone for both EMIGALA and Dubai Festival City Mall, and I am thrilled about the remarkable partnership that we have forged. The awards ceremony, hosted by TV presenter Rosemin, awarded several personalities and luxurious brands in the fashion and beauty industries, such as the French fashion designer Stephane Rolland, the Indian fashion designer Manish Malhotra, the Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek, YSL Beauty, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, Brazilian fashion influencer Camila Coelho, Russian artist Nyusha, Lebanese artists Joseph Attieh and Stephanie Atala, Iranian pop-star Sami Beigi, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, Content creator Nareen Beauty, Indian singer Stepin Ben, Yasmine Yeya, founder of Maison Yeya fashion brand, Moroccan artist Manal Benchlikha, Carolina Herrera and Armani Beauty.
In addition, Saudi fashion influencer Alanoud “FOZAZA” Badr took home the Arab Fashion Influencer of the Year Award, as well as the creative directors of Egyptian label “OKHTEIN” Aya & Mounaz Abdelraouf were also awarded with the Jewelry Designer of the Year Award. The awards ceremony included stunning performances by several artists, such as Rawan Bin Hussein who premiered her brand-new song “Ya 3youn”, Stephanie Atala and Zef, Stebin Ben, as well as a tribute opening performance to Michael Jackson, performed by La Casa Entertainment.
The EMIGALA 2024 also collaborated with many industry giants, such as Intercontinental Dubai Festival City, IHG, NDIGITEC, Dubaiprint, Palais Chic, Crystal Rose Flowers, Scamley, Helipad by Frozen Cherry, ITP Live, ThinkSmart Hub, Comin Insurance, Kempinski Mall of the Emirates, SLS Dubai, and many others.
