The Gentlemen’s Tea: A Thoroughly Manly Affair

Proving that Afternoon tea isn’t all finger sandwiches and fairy cakes, is the new Gentlemen’s Tea, designed to encourage male guests to embrace the occasion.  With menu highlights including beef tartar with fried quail egg, mini Wagyu sliders with foie gras and duck rillettes with grilled country bread, washed down with an optional Whisky flight or a lovely cup of loose-leaf tea, it’s the manliest afternoon tea in town.

The Arabian Tea: A Thoroughly Authentic Affair

Bringing a sense of place to the occasion is the Arabian Tea, which includes popular local dishes from the region, including assorted mezze, delicate kibbeh tarts and freshly baked falafel.  A selection of Arabian sweets such as umm ali and katayef complete the offering, whilst a range of locally flavored beverages including Turkish and Arabic coffee complement the extensive choice of premium teas.

The Traditional Tea: A Thoroughly Fancy Affair

For those looking for a classic menu, the Traditional Tea offers a delectable assortment of sandwiches, pastries and freshly baked scones with the finest homemade preserves and Devonshire clotted cream.  Further highlights include smoked salmon rillettes éclairs and a selection of desserts such as jasmine and mango entremets, and soya milk, apricot and hazelnut verrine.  Guests may add a glass of Champagne and enjoy The Royal Treat, should they prefer a little sparkle with their tea.

The Baby Shower Tea: A Thoroughly Fun Affair

Mums to-be can enjoy a special treat with The Baby Shower Tea, which encompasses the Traditional Tea menu, along with a deliciously fun selection of pink, blue or yellow cupcakes.  An elegant display of decorations can also be provided to mark the occasion, with balloons and table ornaments in a choice of colors, whilst the luxurious sofa-seating and large square tables provide the perfect layout to celebrate with the guest of honor’s leading ladies.

Afternoon Tea is available daily at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, from 2pm to 6pm.  Guests can enjoy the occasion in the regal yet relaxed surroundings of The Lobby Lounge, or outside on the terrace with sprawling views of the Arabian Gulf.  A violinist plays daily, treating to guests to an eclectic range of tunes, from John Legend to Linkin Park.
