Caroline Garcia, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships’ top seed in the doubles, went back to nature with a visit to The Green Planet yesterday Tuesday and seems to have thoroughly enjoyed her experience.
The world number three in doubles enjoyed the interaction with the animals, taking selfies with the birds and a baby rainbow boa constrictor and she even held a hissing cockroach! The region’s first bio-dome recreates a tropical forest with over 3,000 plants and animals, offering visitors an expedition into the tropics and inviting them to experience one of the world’s oldest living ecosystems.
Teamed with fellow Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic, Garcia won the 2016 French Open doubles. Garcia and Mladenovic will begin their tilt at the Dubai Duty Free Championships doubles title on Wednesday.
The WTA event, which features US Open champion and world number two Angelique Kerber, 2017 Brisbane and Doha champion Karolina Pliskova, WTA Finals winner Dominika Cibulkova, French Open champion Garbine Muguruza, along with Radwanska, continues until 25th February, and is followed by the 25th staging of the ATP World Tour event from 27th February until 4th March.
