Shaikh Mohammad tours Expo Milano

He praised the organisation standards of Milan Expo

Milan: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited Expo Milano taking place in Italy until November 2015.

Shaikh Mohammad and his accompanying delegation toured the exhibition where 121 exhibitors, including the UAE, are participating.

He visited the UAE pavilion at the exhibition, in which several national institutions have taken part to promote the country and its civilisational achievements in various sectors.

At the UAE pavilion, Shaikh Mohammad watched a documentary film titled “Family Tree”, which sheds light on the UAE’s success in overcoming the daily challenges and hardships before the discovery of oil.

Shaikh Mohammad also paid a visit to the UK and France’s pavilions. He praised the organisation standards of Milan Expo and participating pavilions, particularly the UAE’s, which occupies a space of 300 square metres and was designed in a way that reflects the country’s local environment and urban heritage.

Shaikh Mohammad instructed members of the Dubai Expo 2020 Higher Committee to be take note of any negatives in the organisation of Expo Milano, and to take them into consideration when promoting and organising Dubai Expo 2020. He said that this will ensure a promising and flawless appearance for the event.

Shaikh Mohammad praised the efforts of the National Media Council for overseeing the organisation of these government and semi-government stands participating in the UAE’s pavilion. He also hailed the contribution of youths in organisational efforts.
