WAM -- The UAE opens its doors to friends and brothers from other countries because it believes in the importance of communicating and holding talks with their governments, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said on Tuesday while receiving President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at Zabeel Palace.
The country also believes in shortening distances between peoples of the UAE and other countries as well as opening new venues of co-operation, stronger friendships and partnerships in trade, tourism and culture for the good of all, he added.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid praised the industrial progress in Belarus as well as its leadership and government for taking interest in building bridges with the UAE across all spheres.
He wished President Lukashenko a successful visit to the UAE.
Expressing his delight at visiting the UAE and holding talks with its leaders about all issues of common interest in investment, cultural exchange, investment and trade, the Belarusian President noted that the potential and opportunities in the countries complement each other, help establish balanced relations and produce common benefits.
Noting that the advancement of the UAE and Dubai in particular in the infrastructure, renewable energy and technology sectors has earned the UAE global respect, he stressed that the UAE has constructive relations with the United Nations in promoting the culture of peace, tolerance and justice.
