Dear Friends,

We are once again pleased to welcome you to the pages of your favorite Aviamost magazine.  The past month was marked by two very important events. For the first time ever, Dubai played host to a month-long Matreshka Festival at one of its top shopping venues, Wafi Mall. Starting on 16 October it runs until 19 Nov 2014 and is a celebration of Russian fashion, culture, art, music and sport. Aviamost spoke to its beautiful and well known brand ambassador, the Ex Miss Russia Lupita Lopyreva to discover more about the novel event.

The second major event of the month in Dubai, which witnessed the city being once more in the spotlight, was the 2^nd Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience held at The Dubai Mall. The unmatched festival of high-end fashion extended to three days with an array of lifestyle events and asserted Dubai’s repute as a global fashion capital.  

I would also want to highlight the meeting with the Olympic champion in 2002, quadruple world champion, three-time European champion Alexei Yagudin, who visited Dubai for a couple of  days to complete a joint project and gave an exclusive interview to our magazine.

October 2014 proved to be truly memorable as the UAE hosted a rich variety of Russian cultural events. We bring you in-depth reports on three different events which aroused keen interest among the Russian-speaking residents of Dubai for their unique themes in art and culture.
