Hilton Abu Dhabi welcomes all to discover the most magical time of the year with loved ones, through its wide range of traditional festive-themed events and activities.
Welcome the Christmas spirit with the iconic hotel’s tree lighting ceremony on December 11th, 2017. Hosted in the hotel lobby, the much-awaited event will be accompanied by a choir from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, as well as a full Christmas market.
Giving guests a feel of a European Christmas market, Hilton Abu Dhabi will have a number of stalls set up in the lobby, which will offer visitors homemade specials such as whole roast turkey with trimmings, glazed chestnuts and the famed Hilton cranberry sauce. The hotel’s pastry chefs have also worked on creating everybody’s favourite festive-shaped chocolate goodies, gingerbread cookies, puddings, cakes, yule logs, truffles and macarons.
Pre-Christmas Festive Turkey Menus
For those who cannot wait for Christmas Day to enjoy perfectly cooked turkey can visit between December 11thand 23rd, 2017 for the special festive turkey menu which will be served daily.
Vasco’s, the beachside restaurant, serves a two-course and three-course option of its turkey menu for AED 90* and AED 115* respectively. Served for lunch and dinner, the dishes include the famed Vasco’s heirloom tomato salad with milk poached buffalo mozzarella for starters, the tempting turkey duo of a roast and a stuffed roulade, and mince pie tart for dessert.
The popular pub, Hemingway’s, will also have a turkey dinner menu available from December 11thuntil 25thwith smoked duck breast for starters, the traditional roast for mains with all the trimmings and Christmas plum pudding for dessert. This special treat is priced at AED 60* for the two-course option and AED 79* for the three-course menu.
Christmas Eve at Hilton Abu Dhabi
Guests can choose from four exciting dinner menus on December 24th, 2017. The all-day dining restaurant, La Terrazza, hosts a festive buffet, while the neighbouring Bocca offers a four-course menu. Vasco’s and Hemingway’s will have a three-course set menu available as well.
Enjoy an authentic Italian dinner at Bocca for Christmas Eve which will feature an interesting appetiser of marinated Sicilian red prawns with burrata cheese, followed by four choices of mains. Options include homemade spaghetti with seared marinated calamari, risotto with pears and gorgonzola cheese, sea bass fillet with beetroot risotto, and grilled veal tenderloin with truffle sauce.
The four-course menu, priced at AED 229*, finishes with a mille-feuille of panettone, mascarpone and winter fruits.
Vasco’s will serve a three-course dinner on Christmas Eve. Priced at AED 225*, the menu includes smoked salmon pinwheel with salmon mousse and yasa caviar for starters, followed by pistachio and berry crusted turkey roulade. Completing the meal is a hazelnut yule log with forest fruit chunks.
La Terrazza will put up international buffet spreads for lunch and dinner on both December 24thand 25thfor AED 185*. From the traditional turkey roasts to an array of delectable Christmas desserts, this elaborate spread is perfect for families and friends to share a memorable meal together.
Fine Dining on Christmas Day
December 25this guaranteed to be a day of culinary adventures for guests at Hilton Abu Dhabi. In addition to the festive buffet at La Terrazza, there will be special set menus at Bocca, Vasco’s and the award-winning Jazz Bar & Dining.
Bocca’s four-course lunch or dinner menu, priced at AED 229*, will start with a salad of burrata cheese and heirloom tomatoes, and the antipasti of choice is the homemade lobster ravioli and gnocchi with lamb ragout. For mains, there is are options of tuna steak with citrus butter sauce and stuffed turkey with cranberry sauce.
The Christmas Day meal at Vasco’s is priced at AED 225*. Featuring a lobster and quinoa salad for starters, the three-course menu will be served for lunch and dinner. Guests can dig into a delicious pistachio and berry crusted turkey roulade and end the meal with a traditional Christmas plum pudding topped with Tonka sauce and vanilla ice-cream.
Jazz Bar & Dining joins the celebrations with a festive dinner menu for AED 130*. The three-course meal includes a marinated turkey with brie cheese salad and slow roasted turkey with pink pepper coated goose liver on thyme red currant jus and sweet potato mash. The smell of Christmas wafts through the venue thanks to the dessert – the mince pie tart is served with cinnamon sauce and vanilla ice-cream.
New Year’s Eve Celebrations
Reel in 2018 with four hours of non-stop live entertainment by award-winning band, DNA 2.0, at Jazz Bar & Dining. A four-course menu will also be available for AED 425*. Unlimited drink packages are available for AED 200*, and a bottle of bubbly will be provided for a table or for a booking of four persons – couples will get a glass of bubbly as well.
The Showdown NYE Bash at Hiltonia Beach is the place to be for those who want to party and watch the fireworks at midnight. The entry fee is AED 120 on the night and AED 100 for early bookings. The party gets vibrant with hip-hop, dancehall, reggae, afrobeat, Latino and R&B hits played live from 6pm until 3am.
The Gala Dinner at Hiltonia Beach Garden is the perfect setting for those who want to enjoy both, a fine dining experience and live entertainment. At the stroke of midnight, revellers will be given free access to the Showdown NYE Bash as well. Hosted from 7pm, the dinner is priced at AED 550* for the buffet and AED 750* inclusive of selected house beverages.
Bocca brings in the New Year with a four-course dinner. The menu, priced at AED 375*, features a delicious starter of tuna tartare with yasa caviar in a chilled broth of buffalo mozzarella and coconut milk. For the main course, there is the tempting Agnolotti filled with guinea fowl served with black truffle sauce and slow cooked US beef medallions with potato and truffle cake. Ending the dinner on a sweet note is the Gianduja chocolate mousse with cocoa nibs and orange curd.
Meanwhile, Vasco’s serves a five-course menu of exquisite Mediterranean flavours for AED 499*. The dinner starts with an amuse bouche of grilled zucchini and bell peppers pinwheel with feta cheese and fig puree. This is followed by a saffron flavoured lobster and shrimp soup.
For the mains, there is the option of slow-cooked wagyu tenderloin steak with purple mash or pan-fried black cod fish fillet with caramelized banana shallots. The dessert for the night is Valhrona chocolate mousse.
Hemingway’s will also have a New Year’s Eve drinks package for AED 150*, which includes entry into the pub as well as two house beverages to kick off the party. La Terrazza continues the celebrations on January 1, 2018 with the New Year’s Day buffet for AED 225* served for lunch and dinner.
