New services expand airline’s footprint in Kazakhstan to three destinations

Dubai: Flydubai said on Monday it has launched two flights a week to Astana, Kazakhstan. The airline now offers two flights a week to both Astana and Almaty and one flight a week to Shymkent, it said in a statement, adding that flydubai is the first Dubai-based carrier to provide a direct link to the Kazakhstan capital. The Dubai-based carrier has launched services to 16 new destinations since the start of 2015. The launch sees flydubai’s footprint in Central Asia and the Caucasus region expand to nine destinations, with 60 flights a week to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
