Cosmonaut shares image of The Palm Jumeirah from space
An image of the Palm Jumeirah from space has got people talking about the artificial island in the shape of a palm tree.
The Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev posted the image to his Instagram account on Tuesday, noting that he had visited the island five years ago with fellow cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov.
They are now orbiting above the earth.
The pair regularly share posts from life in space. Earlier this week, Shkaplerov posted a photo of them making pizza and their fellow cosmonauts playing music in the International Space Station – Artemyev played the panpipes.
“The name of our musical group is AstroHawaii,” wrote Shkaplerov.
