Legends Art Club & Andakulova Gallery Dubai with support ME Dubai presents artist Timur Akhmedov’s captivating solo art exhibition ‘ME tamorphosis of colours‘ (August 18, 2023 – October 8, 2023) sponsored by Freedom Finance LTD. And in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Dubai. This exhibition is dedicated to the Uzbek nation who celebrates Uzbekistan’s 32nd Independence Anniversary. “ME tamorphosis of colors” is a unique exhibition of Timur Akhmedov, one of the brightest contemporary artists with Asian roots. Each exhibition of the artist is a visual journey for the viewer into the world of fantasies, images and dreams. Timur is a master of colors, shapes and meanings, so his works are interactive. The pictures are metaphorical, looking at them each one reveals his story. That is why the paintings do not have names, for each work the viewer creates his own. Timur Akhmedov is a prominent Uzbek artist known for his exceptional works of art that explore the intricacies of human emotions and experiences. Timur Akhmedov was born in 1968 in Tashkent. His father was a nuclear physicist with a second career as an architect, while his mother was a teacher. Akhmedov studied for four years in the painting department at the College of Art of Uzbekistan and furthered his education in the Department of Illustration at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. As part of the group of artists operating during the 1980s and 1990s, Timur Akhmedov witnessed the development of contemporary art in Uzbekistan as we see it today. In 1998 – 1999 he studied Studio Royal Academy, London Member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. His first collective exhibition was held in 1987, followed in 1992 by Myth Zone, which he organized with a group of artist friends at the Ilkhom Theatre in Tashkent. From there, he participated in a number of other shows including Standard Design in 1994 at the House of Cinematographers, at the Museum of Applied Art, Galina Maxwell Gallery, Richmond, UK, Peace and Colour Gallery, London, St. Moritz Art Fest, Switzerland, Art Fair, Scotland and more. Akhmedov's new series of artworks “ Liaisons” are complex, compositions with symbolic, yet almost fairy-tale like, content that stir both emotions and intrigue. Timur’s work most often displays a fascinating mix of his own dreams – he depicts the world and people in a surreal, dream-like way, often representing himself and others as majestic characters within a story. The artist is known for his color and its development plays the principal role in his pictures. He creates rich in hues color compositions where the combination of Asian turquoise, warm ochre, and vibrant reds creates a strange sense of silence, almost as if one were watching a silent movie.
