To celebrate the launch of Breitling’s new Navitimer 36 and 32, two new additions to Breitling’s iconic Navitimer collection, Breitling Middle East lit up Burj Khalifa on September 21st with visuals of the NAVITIMER – FOR THE JOURNEY campaign starring Charlize Theron. Simultaneously, the campaign was projected in Riyadh Boulevard as the brand took over all 82 screens at the boulevard.
The Burj Khalifa projection was a key moment during Breitling Middle East’s Navitimer launch event, which was held that evening at Nazcaa, Address Fountain View Hotel, Dubai with the attendance of 94 press, influencers, and key opinion leaders.
As part of the launch event, Breitling held a speaker’s panel which consisted of Dr. Suaad Al Shamsi, the first female Emirati Aircraft Engineer and a key member of the Women In Aviation group; Rhea Harmoush, renowned professional dancer and founder of 567ray dance studio and group; and Anna Al Qasimi Roberts, award-winning TV and radio host and founder of Achievher. The speakers touched on their personal journeys following their passions, which led to achieving their goals and dreams.
The Navitimer is one of the most recognizable watches ever made. It’s on collectors’ lists of the greatest watches of all time. What began in 1952 as a tool for pilots has gone on to mean something profound to every single person who has had this timepiece along on their personal journey.
Commenting on the new launch, Aed Adwan, Managing Director, Breitling Middle East, India and Africa said: ''The Navitimer is an iconic piece that will never go out of style. Now with these two new additions in 36- and 32-mm sizes, and pastel-colored dials, we can cater to women who love the look and feel of a smaller diameter watch and are looking for that versatile elegance that the Navitimer offers. With inclusivity being a core brand pillar, we’re proud of The NAVITIMER – FOR THE JOURNEY campaign, which has a powerful message that can inspire anyone to follow their own journey wherever it takes them.’’
The new 36-mm Navitimer features the beaded bezel and iconic circular slide rule (used by pilots as an analog calculator) that give the Navitimer its unmistakable appearance. It now comes in a trio of chic metallic dial colors (mint green, silver, and anthracite) with baton indexes, or with a white mother-of-pearl dial set with round-cut “better diamonds”.
Although with a slimmer diameter, The 32-mm Navitimer packs a big punch is in its mother-of-pearl dials in powdery pink and light-blue—a first for Breitling—along with classic white. As with the larger 36, the 32 features better diamonds across the line and better gold on the full-gold version. They all carry the Origins label.
Part of Breitling’s mission to do better, these diamonds are lab-grown and traceable to accredited producers who have achieved the SCS-007 Sustainability Rated Diamonds Standard. Similarly, the full-gold version is crafted in “better gold”, traceable to artisanal and small-scale mines that meet the Swiss Better Gold Association’s criteria for social and environmental impact.
