RTA completes roads leading to ‘Jewel of the Creek’

The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has announced the completion of tunnel and road works leading to the entry/exit points of Jewel of the Creek project undertaken in collaboration with Dubai International Real Estate.

UAE Central Bank plans flexible cap on real estate financing

The Central Bank of the UAE is in discussions with the country's lenders to amend rules governing the financing of real estate, flexing the cap on funding to the sector.

The banking regulator currently allows banks to lend as much as 20 per cent of their total deposits to the property sector with that cap being raised to a still undecided level, Mubarak Rashid Al Mansouri told the Middle East Banking Forum in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

Apple warns some iPhone users to update their old gadgets

Apple is warning owners of older iPhones and iPads that if they don't update their devices to the latest iOS software by Sunday, they won't be able to connect to the internet.

IPhone and iPad products from 2012 and earlier will need the update before midnight UTC on November 3 in order to maintain accurate GPS location and continue using the App Store, iCloud, email and web browsing, according to Apple.

Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest integrated oil and gas company, wholly owned by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Sunday announced its intention to proceed with an initial public offering (IPO) on Riyadh's Tadawul Stock Exchange.

Saudi Arabia, UAE to issue joint visa soon

Sultan Al-Mansoori, minister of economy of the United Arab Emirates, announced that coordination is under way between Saudi Arabia and the UAE to issue a joint visa between the two countries so as to enable visitors to the UAE to visit Saudi Arabia and vice versa.
