The US president’s sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump flew into Dubai on Thursday to attend the wedding of their business partner’s daughter.

The wedding of the daughter of the real estate developer Hussain Sajwani – founder and owner of Damac Group, was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, deputy ruler of Dubai, and other royal family members and dignitaries.

Amira Sajwani is Damac's chief financial officer.

The National -- Abu Dhabi's speed cameras will scan vehicles to detect drivers with expired licences from April 15, the city's police force has said.

Those caught will face a Dh500 fine, four black points, and their vehicles will be confiscated for seven days.

Brig Gen Ahmad Al Shehhi, deputy head of Abu Dhabi Traffic Police, urged motorists to hurry up and renew their expired car registrations to avoid the stringent measures.

The National -- Three days of mourning have been declared in Sharjah following the death of Sheikh Ahmed Al Qasimi.

Sheikh Ahmed was the brother of Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi, Wam reported.

Sheikh Ahmed died on Tuesday morning, Wam said.

Sharjah Ruler's court expressed its condolences to the family of Sheikh Ahmed and members of Al Qasimi family.
