Step into the enchanting world of Okku, an award-winning Japanese restaurant and lounge that promises a culinary experience infused with love in every taste, sight, and sound. Immerse yourself in a celebration of flavors, laughter, dance, and above all, love!
Designed for communal enjoyment, Okku's array of dishes ensures that everyone can savor unparalleled tastes and sensations. Located within the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, Okku presents gourmet "O-style" cuisine, signature cocktails, renowned DJ performances, and an atmosphere of jubilation and togetherness – all crafted for your delight.
Upon entering the restaurant, a dedicated pathway adorned with sake barrels, illuminated in an array of colors, sets the mood. An Instagram-worthy spectacle! At the heart of the spacious venue lies a 20-meter sushi station and robata grill, where skilled chefs showcase their expertise in an open kitchen spectacle.
For those seeking privacy, a private dining area for 10-12 people awaits, boasting an elegant interior and personalized service. The lounge area boasts a digital display simulating an aquarium with mesmerizing jellyfish.
Ladies, a special treat just for you. Make sure to take your phone with you to the restrooms as you will definitely want to take a video of what you see on the walls. Small secret, it changes every 20 minutes as well.
The interior, enhanced with decorative yakisugi wood panels and stone walls, pays homage to Japanese culture, while custom-made Japanese artwork by Art Beat Gallery enriches the authentic ambiance of the restaurant. The Samurai soldier statues are incredible standing at 2.20 metres high but even more so when you realise that they are in fact 3D printed in Dubai by Immensa.

Embark on a sensory journey with Okku's signature cocktails, such as the shochu-based Geisha or the rum-infused Sumo Punch. The crowd-favorite Asagiri, featuring bourbon, cherry, and maple syrup, stands out. Additionally, a diverse selection of wines and classic cocktails is available upon request.
Thanks to the visionary leadership of Ramzy Abdul-Majeed, founder of Big On Hospitality (including Okku), and the elevated concept in its new location, Okku is poised to be one of Dubai's premier gastronomic destinations – booking in advance is a must.
Now, onto the delectable part! The menu showcases a fusion of classic and modern dishes inspired by generations-old techniques and recipes. All ingredients, including fresh fish and imported Wagyu beef from Japan, boast exceptional freshness and quality.
My personal favorite is the glazed eggplant with a rich, sweet-miso glaze – a true explosion of flavors! Don’t miss the appetizer of spicy tuna on crispy rice or the signature Crispy Duck Salad featuring lettuce, radishes, cabbage, leeks, daikon, and pomegranate in a hoisin rice vinegar and amazu dressing – a culinary symphony of perfection on a plate.
The tomato tartare with yuzu miso on crispy rice cakes offers a novel and inventive twist, serving as a delightful alternative to traditional tuna.
Indulge in an array of tempting main courses including Okku’s Chili-Miso Baby Chicken from the Robata grill and the O Style Dynamite Kani – two whole Baked King Crab Legs with spicy mayonnaise dressing. Highly recommend to have the Truffle Rice with your main dishes.
For a unique experience, try Okku’s hot stone Wagyu, allowing you to become the chef and cook your Wagyu beef to perfection. And, of course, the black cod prepared according to the original recipe is a must-try.
To finish your dining experience, the O Style Mango Mousse is different than any dessert we have tried anywhere before and if you only try one dessert, this would be the one beautifully presented with the mix of hot mango, fresh fruits and crushed biscuits. At Okku, every dish is a love story unfolding at first bite!
