Federation’s trade missions to the Balkans have generated more than $1b of exports since 2013
The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) is organising a trade mission to Serbia between May 11-15 to explore new investment opportunities in agriculture and food industry during the International Agricultural Fair which takes place between May 9-15 in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second-largest city.
The Secretary-General of the FCCI, Humaid Mohammad Bin Salim, said FCCI trade missions to the Balkans have generated more than $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion) of exports since 2013.
He noted that the UAE’s winning of the bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai has opened the door for Serbian construction companies to tap $200 billion of infrastructure projects.
Bin Salim further noted that UAE agricultural companies investing in Serbia are also exploring access to other European markets through the Balkan country.
The business delegation to Serbia will comprise representatives of companies from different UAE economic sectors.
