Dubai-based label The Giving Movement is joining the UAE, the movement, and the world in providing aid to the victims of the February 6th earthquake by sending 8,000 pieces of TGM clothing to Turkey for immediate relief. The donations will include clothing essentials as thousands lost their homes in the midst of winter: hoodies, jackets, sweaters joggers, T-shirts, socks, shackets, windbreakers, and more. The package includes pieces of all sizes for women, men, children, and babies.

The brand is also inviting the region and the world’s biggest fashion changemakers to join the movement and multiply the donations impact, together: PANGAIA, Namshi, and Nike - asking them to also nominate 3 brands to do their part. With a philosophy rooted in the power of togetherness, The Giving Movement is aiming to band together with fellow brands as one entity with a common goal: helping the victims of the earthquakes.

The brand also urges and encourages the community to step in and support the Turkish embassy and consulate’s In-Kind Assistance Campaign, accepting donations on February 7th and 8th to help the earthquake victims. Donations can be dropped off at the Turkish Embassy in Abu Dhabi and DSS Homeward Bound in Dubai between 8AM and 8PM on both days. The appeal requests for winter clothing, gloves and scarves, boots, hygiene essentials, diapers, canned and non-perishable foods, tents, beds and mattresses, blankets, sleeping bags, portable stoves and heaters, thermos, flashlights, and generators.

The Giving Movement is Humanity in Motion, and it’s moments like these where the world needs our collective efforts to help alleviate pain and provide as much support as we possibly can to all countries impacted by the earthquake: Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Cyprus.
