Jumeirah Group has appointed Jose Silva as its new chief executive officer. Silva replaces interim CEO Marc Dardenne. Previously, the role was held by Stefan Leser and Gerald Lawless.
To his new job, Silva brings over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including almost 25 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. In his last role, Silva served as the regional vice president overseeing France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal and also served the role of general manager of Hotel George V in Paris. Commenting on his appointment, Silva said he has always admired Jumeirah’s ability to be different and its forward-looking vision.
As quoted in the official press release, Silva said, “I have always admired Jumeirah for its “dare to be different” culture and its forward-looking vision.”

Jumeirah currently manages 19 properties including the flagship Burj al Arab Jumeirah. The company also has 25 properties in the pipelineincluding Jumeirah Royal Saray, which will be the company's first property in Bahrain and Jumeirah Muscat Bay in Oman.
