Aviamost’s Editor in Chief Rita Boustany spoke to Gullaume Marx MD Parmigiani about the novelties launched at SIHH 2016.

The special Bugatti unique watch was introduced by you in in 2004 and now you have introduced another unique piece the Bugatti Super Sport Sapphire. Where will it be displayed?

It will be showcased at the Doha Fair and if it’s not sold there, in the second semester it will be displayed in Dubai.

Tell us more about this unique piece.

It is a very unique piece which is a prestigious addition to the spectacular Bugatti Super Sport line. It has a unique movement made entirely in rose gold and composed of 330 components. It has a case made entirely of translucent sapphire crystal and its construction is very technical and it is a state-of-the-art watch definitely.

What is its price?

Its price is Swiss Fracs 545,000. In Dirhams it would be around 2 million.

Regarding the novelty of the Flying Tourbillon which you just introduced today, which do you think is the best market for it?

The best market for it is the Russian, the Chinese and some local people from Middle East. The connection between them is that between these three different nationalities is they are looking for refined, high end, prestigious, exclusive products which are state-of-the-art product not found on anyone else’s wrist. And in this Flying Tourbillon everything every single component is made in our manufacture with dials made of special stones and it has an attractive price too for this kind of high end product at Swiss Francs 130,000.

What is the share of the market for Parmigiani in the Middle East?

The share of the market for Parmigiani in the Middle East is 40 per cent Russians, 30 per cent Chinese and 20 per cent locals and 10 per cent Europeans.
