Mercury Lounge re-opens for the season, atop Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, on Sunday September 18, 2016. Now reminiscent of a lounge on the shores of the Mediterranean, its summer closure saw the restyling of Dubai’s most idyllic and glamorous rooftop, with a new food concept and relaxed atmosphere to create the perfect destination to see guests from dinner through to dancing into the night.
The new food menu at Mercury Lounge seamlessly blends influences from across the Mediterranean Sea offering a spectacular selection of antipasti, sharing plates and light entrées with the intention of grazing through the evening with style yet without formality. It is set to be the most dynamic dining experience in Dubai, alive with atmosphere as the city’s social scene gather to share the vibrant flavours of the Med.
Reflecting an array of innovative variations on traditional dishes from the likes of Spain, Italy and the Lebanon, the new menu is divided into eight sections; Crudos, Small plates, Salads, From the sea, From the land, Pasta & Risotto, Sides and Sweets. Signature items include; Kibbeh foie gras, rosemary and raspberry jam, Half metre octopus carpaccio, fennel and radish, Sicilian mazara red prawns with hazelnut, and Ricotta, blueberry mini beignet and salted caramel, as well as classics of; Burrata with heirloom tomato, Yellow fin tuna tartare and Braised beef raviolis with crispy artichoke; and sweets of Mini Beignet and Chocolate Pearls. Serving the full spectrum of the menu from 6:00 pm until 11:30 pm daily, the kitchen will also serve a reduced ‘late bites’ menu from 11:30 pm until 1:00 am.
In addition to extending the food concept, Mercury Lounge re-opens its stunning rooftop this September with an enhanced look and feel under the guidance of new manager Raul Carcelero (Zuma London, Zuma Dubai, Nusret Dubai, Ossiano).
Carcelero comments; “We are excited to officially announce the re-opening of Mercury Lounge atop Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and feel the innovative modern Mediterranean concept is a new, exciting destination choice for Dubai’s social scene. With a mixture of Italian, French and Spanish heritage in the team, we all brought something to the table and have had a chance to be both creative and elegant. We are confident the new concept will find immediate success.”
A change in soft furnishings now presents a slick, sophisticated rooftop with discrete corners for a romantic dinner or spacious areas for group entertaining. Mercury Lounge retains its 5 majlises, including the spectacular Sky Fall, which become a part of the larger lounge space and also provide opportunities for semi-private dining. Sky Fall remains the most sought after private dining venue in Dubai with the most spectacular views overlooking the city, the Palm and the Arabian Gulf.
With 180 degree views over downtown Dubai twinkling on the eastern horizon and the waves of the Arabian Gulf lapping on the shores to the west, Mercury’s unique open-air position moves into a more dynamic era, where flexibility and sharing experiences are the order of the night. Advancing on the service style of 2015, Mercury returns with a distinctly European style DJ to dance from sunset to bedtime.
The effortlessly chic crowd that Mercury draws, will now tune in to vibes of the Cote d’Azur and white islands of Greece, drinking bubbles, feasting on flavours of the Med. and smoking Shisha. This September, as all of Dubai comes back out to play, there is one certainty; the mercury is rising.
