Millennium Plaza Dubai, a luxury accommodation along Sheikh Zayed Road, has been recognised by World Travel Awards as “United Arab Emirates’ Leading City Hotel 2018”, the first for the hotel under the category, but previously been voted as Dubai’s Leading City Hotel in 2017 as well as for the years 2016, 2015 and 2014.

Hailed as the ‘Oscars of the Travel Industry’, the awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, recognising the highest standards of quality across the region.

Nemo Acimovic, General Manager, Millennium Plaza Dubai accepted the award and commented: “We are extremely honoured to be named as the UAE’s Leading City Hotel for 2018 and this award is a reflection of our commitment towards excellence in the hospitality industry. Millennium Plaza Dubai continues to improve its facilities to offer guests a new level of experience. The hotel’s new lobby is the ideal place for hotel guests to relax, socialize and do work-related tasks, offering convenience and comfort while checking-in or checking out from the hotel. Soon, the property will open another dining option and the hotel’s Presidential Suite will feature the most luxurious stay for its guests once renovated has been completed.

This year’s gala ceremony held in Ras Al Khaimah was attended by hundreds of industry leaders from across the region. The event also marked the opening leg of the World Travel Awards Grand Tour 2018, the 25th Anniversary of honouring excellence in the international hospitality industry.
