New Board of Directors of Dubai Women Establishment holds its first meeting

Dubai: Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), wife of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; welcomed DWE’s new Board of Directors, which held its first meeting in the Establishment’s headquarters in Dubai Ladies Club.

Stressing on the role of the Establishment in achieving its noble goals for the service of woman and providing a suitable environment that allows women to excel and shine in the workplace, Sheikha Manal praised the DWE Board and DWE team for their hard work.

She referred to the achievements of the various initiatives, which became a tangible reality as a result of determination and hard work. Among them was the Women in Boards Initiative, which led to a 30 per cent increase in the representation of women in boards of directors in the public sector, in addition to establishing a gender equality council, and Dubai being chosen to host the Women’s Forum Dubai next year, considering it as the biggest international event for women taking place in the Middle East and North Africa and a gift for the Emirati and Arab woman in the upcoming International Women’s Day.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), presided over the meeting of the new Board of Directors and welcomed its new members: Hala Youssef Badri, Khawla Rashid Al Mehairi, Huda Issa Buhumaid, Hana Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani, Huda Saeed Naeem Al Hashemi, Lamis Mohamed Hamdan Al Shamsi, and Muna Darwish Busamra, who all attended the meeting, and she wished them success in their new tasks and endeavours while stressing on the necessity of team work.
