Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed meets with Tatarstan President

On April 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in the United Arab Emirates to take part in the Eighth Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Monday at Al Bahr Palace President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, who is currently visiting the country.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Mr Minnikhanov and his accompanying delegation and said he wished the visit would enhancing co-operation between the two countries.

He emphasised that the UAE is keen on strengthening bonds with Tatarstan in the best interest of the two countries' peoples.

Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in Al Ain Region; Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed; Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; a number of Sheikhs; officials and Emiratis also attended the meeting.

During his working visit, Minnikhanov plans to take part in the opening of the Eighth Annual Investment Meeting and deliver a speech at the Global Leaders Debate plenary session on the topic “Ensuring Sustainable Development through Foreign Direct Investment". On the sidelines of the forum, Tatarstan President is expected to have meetings with the Minister of Economy of the UAE Sultan Al-Mansoori, chief executives of the Mubadala Company and the Tawazun Holding Company, as well as with other representatives of the government and business of the UAE.

The Tatarstan delegation includes Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Minister of Health of the republic Marat Sadykov, Deputy Director of the Department for External Relations of Tatarstan Marat Gatin, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the republic Denis Valeyev, Trade and Economic Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Dubai Timur Khairutdinov, Director General of Ak Bars Holding Company Ivan Egorov, Director General of Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant Renat Mistakhov, General Director of Innopolis Special Economic Zone Igor Nosov and other officials.
