Studio M Arabian Plaza Hotel & Hotel Apartments, the newly opened lifestyle hotel by Millennium Hotels & Resorts, is pleased to announce the appointment of its key management team, a group of seasoned and energetic hospitality experts who will establish the hotel’s reputation in the ever-growing hotel landscape.
“Each team member brings a diverse background and experience to facilitate a strong and sustainable head start of Studio M Arabian Plaza,” said General Manager Ursula Chidiac.
A veteran in the hospitality industry, Girish Menon joined the property as the Director of Finance. He is responsible for implementing financial strategies of the hotel. Menon also plays a key role in supporting and guiding the team in its key business initiatives. Prior to joining Studio M Arabian Plaza, Menon served as the Cluster Director of Finance at Millennium Hotel Fujairah and Copthorne Hotel Sharjah.
With more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Sahil Thakur takes the helm at the property as the Director of Sales and Marketing. He is responsible in enhancing the reputation of the property, developing and implementing sales strategies for the existing market conditions, nurturing critical partnerships and associations, and leading the sales and marketing team in meeting the company’s growth objectives. Thakur has been a member of the Millennium Hotels & Resorts MENA family since 2015, as the Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing at Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai. Prior to that, he was associated with Rotana Hotels & Resorts.
Tasked with maximising the hotel’s revenue, market share and profits, Sravan Goud Jana has been named Revenue Manager. His career in Dubai started in 2013 as Room Reservations Supervisor at Radisson Blu Downtown. After which, he moved to Seychelles where he eventually became the Assistant Revenue & Reservations Manager at The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach in 2017.
Heading the Front Office Department is Ahmed Atef Shamardan. Previously holding the same position at Movenpick Hotel Apartments Al Mamzar, Ahmed Atef will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth correspondence between the guest and the hotel operations team and paving way for positive first impressions.
Studio M Arabian Plaza also takes it to heart to please the guests’ palates and ensures this by welcoming Mohamed Abbas as the Executive Sous Chef. His first venture in the culinary world was working at the Burj Restaurant in Egypt when he was only 17. Prior to joining Studio M, Mohamed worked as an outlet chef-in-charge at St. Regis’ Al Habtoor Polo Resort. He currently supervises the operations at the property’s dining outlet, oversees the entire culinary team and delivers an exceptional guest experience.
General Manager Chidiac added: “We are delighted to welcome each and every member to the team. The experience and the vision the team will bring on board will be a great asset to the group. I am sure they will put their heart and soul in their capacity to drive forward the success story of this hotel.”
