As part of the New Dawn campaign for Ramadan, Bloomingdale’s partners with two interior design talents to reveal how they decorate their homes and revive long-lived traditions for the Holy Month and Eid al-Fitr.
Nisrine El Lababidi, Interior Designer and Founder of Harf Noon Design Studio, invites Bloomingdale’s into her beautiful home to share her Ramadan preparations and favorite memories.
“One of the dearest memories I have,” says Nisrine, “is when my siblings and I were young and would prepare the table, then sit and wait eagerly for the iftar cannon.” Today, whether it’s iftar and suhoor serving dishes from L’Objet, large platters from Michael Aram or cutlery from Cutipol, Nisrine creates an enchanting scene to break fast and reveals her secrets to setting an unforgettable table (hint: she insists no iftar is complete without pastries). Additionally, be inspired by Nisrine’s wardrobe of printed dresses, abayas and pastel kaftans from Isabel Marant and Taller Marmo and her advice on thoughtful gifting ideas.
“The best gift for Ramadan is by far a diffuser or candle to scent your home; this way, it guarantees the giftee will be reminded of you every time they use it,” says Nisrine. Candle designs from Fornasetti and locally-produced Lava look just as good as they smell.
