Issues discussed at summit will form the basis for the World Economic Forum’s priorities at the Annual Meeting in Davos in January

The World Economic Forum’s on the Global Agenda 2015 opens in Abu Dhabi today, gathering experts from around the world to discuss the globe’s most pressing issues.
Over 1,000 people from 80 disciplines, who are meeting for the third time in the country’s capital, will focus on a wide variety of issues ranging from the strategic to robotics to the global financial system.
Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy of the UAE and Ali Majid Al Mansouri, Chairman, Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi, will chair the summit, which runs from October 25-27.
Issues discussed at the summit will form the basis for the World Economic Forum’s priorities at the Annual Meeting in Davos in January next year.
In an exclusive column written for Gulf News by the Minister of Economy, he discussed the areas where the UAE can significantly contribute its experience and lessons learnt, including: economic growth and social inclusion; employment, skills and human capital; he also writes that the UAE has demonstrated a successful track record and long-term vision in the areas of long-term investing, infrastructure and economic development.
