IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai’s first mega themed entertainment destination, owned by the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG Group) is set to open its doors on Monday, 15th August 2016. Promising visitors the excitement of four epic adventure zones in one location and situated within City of Arabia, along Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, it covers an area in excess of 1.5 million sq. ft. What is the concept behind IMG Worlds of Adventure?
It is Dubai's first mega themed entertainment destination, promising visitors from around the world the excitement of four epic adventures all in one location. Two of IMG Worlds of Adventure’s four zones represent renowned global brands Cartoon Network and MARVEL, while the IMG Boulevard and the Lost Valley - Dinosaur Adventure zones are original concepts by the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group.
Once open, IMG Worlds of Adventure will be the largest, temperature-controlled, indoor themed entertainment in the world with the capacity to welcome more than 20,000 guests a day. It will feature a unique array of adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, thrill rides and spine-tingling attractions based on popular Cartoon Network characters, iconic MARVEL Super Heroes and hair-raising dinosaurs. It will also be home to a number of world-firsts, a variety of themed retail stores, exclusive dining venues and a 12-screen state-of-the-art Novo cinema.
Using the very latest technology, the park is designed to enable guests to live, breathe and enjoy the epic adventure, from going on spectacular rides to interacting with their favorite characters.
How will the Park increase the number of tourists to Dubai?
IMG Worlds of Adventure offers something completely different for its guests by providing a 360 degree themed experience. Each zone is the equivalent to being transported to an entirely different world. The F&B and retail outlets are an extension of the rides and attractions so that guests enjoy a totally futuristic adventure. The park aims to work closely with all the hotels in Dubai and is closely aligned with the emirate’s 2020 vision of attracting 20 million visitors.
How many F&B and retail outlets does IMG Worlds of Adventure feature?
There are 28 F&B outlets at IMG Worlds of Adventure offering a wide range of cuisine such as Arabic, European, American and Pan-Asian cuisines. All of them will be original themed concepts presenting a range of fine, casual and healthy dining choices.
The park will also contain 25 retail outlets, spanning a total of 73,000 sq ft of retail development offering over 5,000 product lines including 60% original and bespoke gifts of toys, collectables, fashion and accessories.
Which markets are you targeting prior to the opening and how significant is it for the Russian and Chinese markets?
With the support of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, we have worked closely together to reach both local and regional markets, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, whilst attracting the top markets such as UK, India, Russia and growing markets such as China and Philippines.
All markets are significant for us and our aim is to extend the visit of every visitor to Dubai, as IMG Worlds of Adventure gives them yet another reason to experience the wonderful city of Dubai.
