Don’t miss MBC’s Arabic TV series TOP CHEF which was filmed at Jumeirah’s restaurants in Dubai. Every Wednesday on MBC 1, 15 chefs from across the region battle it out under the watchful eyes of celebrity chefs including Bobby Chinn, Maroun Chedid and Mona Mosly. The programme’s grand finale in December takes place from Madinat Jumeirah’s newly renovated Fort Island.
TOP CHEF, which is screened at 9.30pm, is the latest in a long line of reality-TV adaptations on the MBC channels, which include an Arabic version of Project Runway, Arab Idol, The X Factor and The Voice. TOP CHEF has been tipped to break MBC’s viewership figures estimated to be over 50m across the Middle East region.
Unlike previous TOP CHEF series around the globe, this is the first time the production team have taken the series out of the cooking studios to outdoor cooking experiences. Several show series were filmed at many of Jumeirah’s F&B outlets within the hotels in Dubai.
All cooking challenges took place under the watchful eyes of Egyptian-New Zealand internationally renowned chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Bobby Chinn; Maroun Chedid, one of Lebanon’s best-known celebrity chefs and Saudi chef and TV presenter Mona Mosly. During the filming, the judges were all based at the Burj Al Arab with all 15 contestants stationed at Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre apartments.
Once the show gets down to the last three contestants, the final episode and grand finale will take place in early November and will be shot exclusively from Madinat Jumeirah’s newly renovated Fort Island.
