UAE FM meets Chairman of China's National Development and Reform Commission

WAM -- UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met He Lifeng, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China, to discuss possibilities for joint co-operation.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah, who is on a state visit to China, emphasised the UAE's determination to strengthen ties with China in various fields.

While welcoming Sheikh Abdullah, He Lifeng praised the UAE for its prominent standing within regional and international communities.

Both officials witnessed the signing of a framework agreement for building industrial capacities and co-operation between the UAE Ministry of Economy and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission.

A Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, was also inked between the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, and Chinese National Development and Reform Commission for the development of China's Silk Road information technology.

The TRA and Huawei Technologies Co. sealed their co-operation with a MoU.

A tripartite MoU for co-operation between the TRA, UAE University and Huawei Technologies Co., was also inked.
