WAM -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, at the Ministry in Tashkent, on Wednesday.
They discussed joint cooperation and ways to enhance ties in all fields, especially in the economic, trade and cultural domains. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest developments in the region.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of enhancing ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan in all fields and ways to boost them.
The Uzbek Foreign Minister welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit, and lauded the role played by the UAE to boost cooperation between the two countries. He also hailed the cultural boom being witnessed by the UAE, and its international stature globally.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov signed a Memorandum of Understanding to boost cooperation in the cultural field between the two countries. Mohammed Hareb Al Mehairbi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, attended the meeting.
