To commemorate World Oceans Day, Atlantis, The Palm has announced a‘Family Fun Day’ on 9th June from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, where ocean lovers of all ages can play, create and engage in fun activities as they learn about the marine world. In celebration, The LostChambers will also extend an offer of a free child with every paying adult.
Visitors to The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm will have an opportunity to join educational talks about marine animals, coral preservation, as well as moray eel, shark and hamour conservation. In addition, they will have a chance to meet and take selfies with the Atlantis resident sea lions, create artwork – including jellyfish “trashformation” and fish cut out crafts amongst much more. Visitors will also have a chance to view an ocean-themed photography exhibition as well as be inspired by recycled material sculpture displays, created by schools across Dubai.
Providing entertainment throughout the day, mascots, Finn the Dolphin and Oceana will do the rounds, helping little guests learn about preserving our natural resources and looking after our oceans.Visitors will also get the chance to learn more about The Lost Chambers myth in the Atlantis“Aquatheatre”.

The Family Fun Day event is just one of many events held by Atlantis, The Palm as a part of its support to the marine world. World Oceans Day is held globally on June 8 to celebrate the ocean, its importance and its protection. The United Nations passed a resolution in 2008 to recognise the annual observation.
