Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro)

'The Marriage of Figaro' is the sequel to another opera, ‘The Barber of Seville’, in which Figaro, the barber and self-proclaimed matchmaker, helps Count Almaviva to reach his new love, Rosina. In this story, we finally see Figaro himself fall in love. No longer a barber, but now a personal valet to Count Almaviva, Figaro plans his wedding to Countess Rosina’s maid. Everything should have gone splendidly, but Count Almaviva’s wandering eye turns the wedding into a day of madness as Figaro discovers that the Count is after his beloved bride.

Expect lots of plan-hatching, theatrics and comedy, all enhanced by Mozart’s masterful score. The opera will be performed by Naples’ Teatro di San Carlo, conducted by Maurizio Agostini. Catch it on stage in the heart of downtown Dubai at Dubai Opera.
