Mansour bin Zayed gets note from Tajik PM

WAM -- H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has received a message from Kokhir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, on ways of strengthening ties of friendship and co-operation between the two countries.

The note was delivered to Sheikh Mansour by Ambassador of Tajikistan to the UAE, Bahodour Sharifi, during a meeting at Al Shati Palace on Wednesday.

The two parties discussed means of boosting bilateral relations in areas of the economy, investment and energy. The projects being implemented by the UAE in Tajikistan were also reviewed.

On May 25, 2017, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates.

During the negotiations the sides also discussed the possibility of establishing the Joint Investment Fund and the Tajikistan-UAE Commercial Council as well as opening branches of the UAE commercial banks in Tajikistan.
